We give a fig about quality writing

Naked Figleaf Press and its imprint, Figmentum, offer a bespoke experience for writers—where publishing isn’t just about books, but about building a literary community that values individuality & collaboration. Nestled on the Isle of Wight, Naked Figleaf Press is an independent publishing house for original Isle of Wight voices. We give a fig about writing that matters—whether it’s poetry, memoir, short stories, non-fiction, and novels. We also publish The Figlet Literary Magazine, our biannual showcase of island talent.

Figmentum is dedicated to writing that dares to experiment and cross thresholds—fiction, nonfiction and forms that blur the boundary between the two. We are drawn to language that takes risks, to stories that test the edge of genre, to voices that refuse to fit the usual frame.

Submissions are welcome from all corners of the globe.
